Illustrated in stylized and colorful 2.5D graphics, Consume Me provides a nostalgic experience, allowing players to relive their teenage years. This story-rich title blends turn-based strategy, life simulation, and resource management mechanics, while exploring themes of comedy, dark humor, and slice-of-life storytelling.
Play as Jenny
The narrative of Consume Me follows a young and impressionable girl named Jenny, who is in her last year of high school. As Jenny, you must make carefully thought-out decisions to achieve the glow-up that you would have wanted back in the day. Do house chores to get the money from your mom to schedule appointments at different beauty shops.
Aside from doing chores and scheduling beauty appointments, you must also succeed academically. Ensure to do various academic-related tasks, including writing essays, studying for exams, getting recommendations, and many more. You can even extend a helping hand to your brother in his studies. While you can earn money through some of these tasks, do not forget to spend it wisely.
Another thing to look out for is your food intake. In this game, dieting is a puzzle. It’s important to avoid both overeating and undereating. It also features a selection of clothing, allowing you to impress your crush with your style so you can eventually arrive at one of the over 13 possible endings. The only drawback to this game is the occasional crashes.
Slice of life
Consume Me offers a quirky yet heartfelt glimpse into the pressures and dreams of teenage life. Through its blend of strategic planning, life simulation, and slice-of-life storytelling, the game captures the bittersweet chaos of growing up. With its colorful visuals, diverse mechanics, and over a dozen possible endings, it invites players to relive their high school experience, even if the occasional crash gets in the way.
